Day 1 : Goa One Day Tour

  • Morning: Old Goa Church and Fort Aguada

    Your day starts with a pick-up by a representative of Travel People India from your hotel, airport or cruise port. First, the head of Old Goa, where you will visit the Basilica of a UNESCO World Heritage Site Bomb Jesus, which holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Then go to the Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. Praise Portuguese architecture and calm environment.

    Subsequently, drive the 17th-century Portuguese Fort to Fort Aguada, which is built on a rock with scenes of the Arabian Sea. Take a photo and enjoy the sea air as soon as it moves around the lighthouse area.

    Noon: Beach and local market

    By noon, head towards the Calanguts, which is known as the "queen of beaches". You can walk on soft sand or enjoy snacks from a local shack. Then go to Baga Beach, famous for water sports and lively surroundings. If you wish, enjoy a parasailing or banana boat ride (at your cost).

    For lunch, choose a beach cafe or a local goon restaurant. After lunch, find out the colored shops in Anjun Pisu Bazaar or Panjim Bazaar, where you can buy handmade crafts, spices, souvenirs and clothes.

    Evening: Panjim city and an alternative cruis

    In the evening, drive for Panjim, the capital of Goa. Go to the Latin quarters of Fontanhas, where the streets are lined with colored Portuguese-style houses. Stop by local bakery or cafe and take beautiful photos.

    If the time allows, visit a peaceful beach near the city center at Miraramar Beach. Finally, if you want to expand the experience, you can go for an alternative Mandovi River Sunset Cruise (1 hour), where you enjoy the good music, folk dance, and river view (not included).

    After a trip to cruise or sightseeing, your driver will drop you back with amazing memories of your one-day Goa tour at your hotel, airport, or cruise port.
