Day 1 : Check in and Evening Beach Walk.

Get to Goa, visit your hotel. After check‑in, rest a bit. Visit Miramar Beach in the evening which is a very popular beach near Panaji. Walk in the sand, rip off the shoes, experience the cool air, and hear the waves. Couples may have a peaceful walk along the sea, and children may have fun in the sand or gather shells. It is also possible to observe the sunset which is very beautiful when the sky is changing colors. Then have dinner in a local Goan restaurant. Sample seafood, vegetarian thalis or sweet dishes. Go back to hotel and stay over night.

Day 2 : Bird Sanctuary and Nature Walks.

Breakfast and then prepare to visit Chorao Island and Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. The experience includes a small ferry to get to the island. The Sanctuary is overwhelmed with mangroves, which are green, and which support numerous types of birds. The little walks up the small trails seeing the birds like egrets, herons, cormorants, colored parrots, and the famous kingfisher. Carry a camera or a pair of field glasses to take pictures of the birds. Children will be entertained by identifying the type of birds and their information.  

Post the birdwatching tour, go to a local spice plantation whereby you can know more about various spices and have a light Goan lunch. You can keep going to the Dona Paula Beach after lunch also known as the Lover’s Paradise. At this spot you can see the junction of the river and the sea. The place is an excellent place to take a photo and have a rest. During the evening, go back to the hotel, have dinner and sleep.

Day 3 : Heritage Visit and Crocodile Spotting.

Begin your day with breakfast and then take a day out at Cumbarjua Canal, a crocodile watching place. Ride safely in boats with guides who are well aware of the area. You will overtake crocodiles in the river banks or swimming on the water. It is a thrilling but safe one because you are always in the boat and away. You can also see birds flying about the canal along with crocodiles. Both adults and children enjoy this boat ride which is one of the tour attractions.  

Stop and have lunch in a riverside cafe after crocodile spotting. Then go on to visit Old Goa which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus that has the remains of St. Francis Xavier and Se Cathedral that is one of the largest churches in Asia. These are over 400 year old churches that demonstrate beautiful Portuguese-style architecture.  

During the evening take a sunset cruise on the Mandovi river.

Day 4 : Local Market & Departure

Breakfast and then check out of your hotel. Wet your legs in the local markets before you fly out of Goa. Visit Mapusa Market or Panaji Market where one can purchase such souvenirs as cashew nuts, spices, small crafts and colorful clothes. Eat Goan sweets such as bebinca or dodol in the stores.  

Provided there is time, visit the Colva Beach one last time along the sea. Rest, take photos and experience the calm environment. Then take a taxi to the airport or railway station to resume your trip to your house.
